Aaah the elusive nose cone. I think MrA knows?

Nose cone I believe, was sourced from a British Bristol Viper jet as was the afterburner. I am getting old and sometimes have to go back and check facts, though this information came to me from both John Evans and also Andy Smith if I remember right. (some time ago, I conversed with Terry Aukland-Snow, John and Andy).

I came across mine many many years ago on an online auction site and recognised it for what it was. Managed to get the seller to end the auction early and let me have it for a fixed price too. I was very lucky, as I think it was the first metal one found.

I also found and identified the correct gas caps and steering wheel, back in the day.

I think I can say now that I donated superobegins the nose. I recently realised that I would never get a full size build going and wanted to help others finish theirs.

I am posting this here, as he has posted this so I don't consider it a secret or betrayal of trust.

I also donated some other bits to a UK builder. Just about to send him the Inlet compressor vane assembly, hood latches and the front 'filler valve' parts from the side mechanics all shown above. Also including the lower rear Ferrari lenses I have.

That has left me with my steering wheel and fishnet headrests and I did plan on donating these too. However call it fate or karma, but things are changing now. I was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer (it's a very early stage and I really still feel fine). One of the reasons to try to help others.

Well, I only came across another part yesterday. :D

This is what I found.

I could not let this pass and not go to a builder, so I bought it. First stage compressor assembly, or turbine vanes as they are also known. Correct size and number of vanes (twenty four to be exact). No other details of what engine or jet this came out of.

I may just have to keep my dream going now.

There may be other news in the near future this year. 8-)
