Speaking of continuing builds, like you my time has been restricted because of "real life". But I have made some small progress on the DOJ that I hope to post soon. Personally, I think having this board helps keep us going. I really don't care for Facebook.
Thanks man, Yeah we try our best to keep going and work around the problems as we can...

Whatever you do, DO NOT as far as possible do it the way I did...
It takes forever and wastes TOO Much time... Just get everything done with wide / large format if you are not going to get it done in steel first time round...

I'm planning on doing my body in a fiberglass over wood composite. Steel just isn't my thing when it comes to looking pretty.

You've been doing the fiberglass thing as well. Maybe I'll be able to do it a little faster. :)

After cutting the last of the pieces I deiced to get started with mocking up the bottom section with 2" tape and glue to keep it together without having to clamp it down...

Nice. How do you cut the wood? Jigsaw?

Hi Sly,

Yeah this is 3mm hardboard so with all the small pieces I just use a jigsaw and cut about 1mm outside the lines and then I smooth all the pieces down on the big sander to make sure They are nice and straight.
And then when I do the mock up of the pieces, I can then see if I need to do any adjustments on the pieces like maybe a slight angle or something to get a nice smooth join and alignment...

"cut about 1mm outside the lines and then I smooth all the pieces down" Very smart. I could never cut anything straight with a jig saw. Your cuts look perfect! I'm very jealous. :)

 Thats the result of "trial & error" and using the sander to smooth them out... ;)
